While playing basketball as a child, Dr. Ball would always help whenever another player was injured. Her grandmother also had type 1 diabetes and would inject herself with insulin, which piqued Dr. Ball's interest in medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2009 and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. Since that time, Dr. Ball has served as a resident physician at Kirksville Family Medicine in Missouri, specializing in family and osteopathic medicine.
For her efforts in her career, Dr. Ball was twice presented with the Above and Beyond Award. She was also named Associate Chief Resident in 2019. Civically, she serves on the Scientific Review Committee of the Twin Cities Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Dr. Ball has attributed her professional success to her dedication to her patients. She always strives to develop the best treatment plan for each patient.
Dr. Ball maintains professional affiliation with the American Academy of Osteopathy, the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, the World Professional Association of Transgender Health, and the American Academy of Family Practice. In the coming years, Dr. Ball plans to venture into a clinical position where she can help a wide range of patients. She hopes to develop a full spectrum practice specializing in women's health, transgender health, osteopathic medicine and pediatrics.
