A seasoned dentistry professional, Dr. Adarve earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the College of Dentistry at the University of the Philippines in 1996. He subsequently parlayed his considerable expertise to students at his alma mater, where he also received a Master of Health Professions Education in 2002. Throughout the course of his career, he has furthered his education with a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Minnesota in 2005. He also completed his Clinical Residency in Prosthodontics during which time he received a Certificate in Multimedia Design and Development from College of Education. Additionally, Dr. Adarve completed an Educational Evaluation training at Harvard Macy Institute.
Drawing on years of educational training, robust experience and expertise, Dr. Adarve presently is a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences at the University of Minnesota's School of Dentistry. He is also currently the Program Director of the school's Program for Advanced Sanding Students, educating international-trained dentists. Moreover, he has maintained involvement as a prosthodontist with Adarve Prosthodontics, a state-of-the-art dental specialty practice that offers services to people of all ages in Apple Valley, and adjacent cities in Minnesota. In light of his vast expertise, Dr. Adarve is also frequently called upon to lecture on a local, national and international level. He is also ran the Paragon Implant Academy and Consulting where he trains practicing dentists in the community. Dr. Adarve is also a Member of the Board of Dentistry, appointed by the Governor in 2019, a governing body that regulates dental practice while protecting the public in the practice of dentistry in the State of Minnesota.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Adarve is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontics and the American Dental Education Association, where he has been the President of the Educational Research, Development and Curriculum Section since 2011. For his outstanding body of work, he has been recognized on numerous occasions, earning a Teaching Excellence Award through the American Dental Education Association and a Distinguished Alumni Award in Educational Innovation through the University of the Philippines in 2012 and the Most Outstanding Faculty Award through the University of Minnesota in 2009 and 2018.
