WASHINGTON, NC, December 17, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eltha Booth has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Driven to contribute to those in need, Mrs. Booth serves as a member of the Beaufort County Board of Education, for which she has worked for the last 20 years. She has also gained valuable expertise in the field as the deputy registrar of deeds for the County of Beaufort and as a member of the board of directors for North Carolina's School Board Association. Although her career has been filled with highlights, Mrs. Booth is especially proud of advocating for the safety of children by not returning to schools in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mrs. Booth is a member of the Beaufort County School Board Association and the Prince Hall Affiliated Jurisdictions of the NC Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Outside of her primary responsibilities, she is affiliated with the New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association, the PS Jones School Alumni and the Democratic Women's Club of Beaufort County. Moreover, Mrs. Booth fondly recalls her appointment as the Grand youth Director for the Prince Hall Family of the Order of the Eastern Star, where there were 3000 young ladies ages 8 to 18 became members of the Organization, under her administration.
Mrs. Booth also serves as member of the National School Board Association, she was appointed by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper to the Bath Historic Commission. Mrs. Booth was a write-in Candidate in her first Election to the Beaufort County School Board, due to her outstanding work in the field. Mrs. Booth has been honored many times, accepting an Award for Loyal and Dedicated Services as well as several achievement awards through the Beaufort County Board of Education. Furthermore, she was notably presented with the All State School Board Award for Outstanding Services to Education. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Booth intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career while faithfully representing her constituents to the best of her abilities.
