Drawing on years of expertise in finance, inventory and employee management, Mr. Prather excels as the chief executive officer and president of Used Car Factory Sales & Service, and as the president of Prather Automotive. With two young boys at home, he decided to enter business for himself so that he could dictate his own hours and spend more time with his family. During an earlier stage of his career, Mr. Prather gained valuable expertise in the automotive industry as a general sales and financial manager for Jeff Schmitt Auto Group, where he worked between 2007 and 2015.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Prather honed his skills in several management and sales capacities for such companies as Joseph Airport Toyota, Germain Toyota of Sarasota and ADP Enterprises. Well regarded for his indelible accomplishments, he has been bestowed with numerous accolades, including the Sales Manager of the Year Award in 2001. Notably, he was selected out of 180 managers at the young age of 22. During that time, Mr. Prather was also selected by the president to be the face of the Coordinating Center, where he was responsible for overall leadership and strategic planning.
Mr. Prather has also been actively involved in expanding his real estate portfolio. His partner companies currently have a portfoloio of 11 properties. The properties consist of commercial, rentals and flip properties.
Within the next five years, he intends to lessen his work with independent dealerships and pursue more opportunities in real estate. Ultimately, Mr. Prather aspires to expand his portfolio and serve as the manager for at least 30 rental properties.
