After receiving severance pay from her former employer in the banking field, she decided to pursue coursework in cosmetology and beauty for 10 weeks prior to receiving her license in 2013.

A multifaceted artist, Ms. Griffin also founded WIDA LLC, a fashion company which she named after her grandmother. Well-regarded in the fashion industry, Ms. Griffin was selected to showcase her designs at New York Fashion Week spring/fall of 2017 & fall of 2019.
Dedicated to giving back to her community, she has volunteered her services to children diagnosed with cancer at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, she's spoken publicly at local high schools in her community & mentored young women.
