METTAWA, IL, January 01, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Betsy Franz Albert with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Ms. Albert celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Albert is an investor, an accomplished visual artist and a dedicated environmentalist celebrating a lifetime of success in her many passions. As a talented young woman, she showed promise in a number of fields and considered pursuing careers in medicine, dance and several branches of the fine arts before contracting Brucellosis at the age of 16. Stricken by chronic side effects and complications from her illness, Ms. Albert found herself too ill to pursue many of her childhood goals, and instead dedicated herself to painting and independent study.
Despite her early illness, Ms. Albert pursued advanced education and refined her creative abilities throughout her life. She has exhibited numerous portraits and still lifes in group and solo shows, designed a house as an architecture student, and has contributed to and edited a biology textbook. Ms. Albert bred 8 champion miniature poodles.
Ms. Albert's diverse skills and talents guided her to success in real estate and stock market investing, and her gifts for architecture and aesthetics led to her involvement in historical preservation efforts. Despite her excellence in a broad range of activities, her greatest commitment has always resided in championing the cause of environmental protection. She has campaigned against the use of the herbicide Dacthal, a known carcinogen, is a founding member of the Cousteau Society and is active with the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Osprey Society and the Environmental Defense Fund. In addition to her work on behalf of the environment, Ms. Albert is a patron of the arts, a lifetime member of the Arts Institute of Chicago, a charter member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts and a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Society. In her leisure time, Ms. Albert enjoys antiques, renovating houses and landscapes and listening to music.
