Dr. Seidler is an international economic development consultant currently working on behalf of the European Investment Bank's Ukraine Municipal Infrastructure Program, an €800 million joint project with the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. She holds Doctor of Philosophy degrees in finance credit procurement and international economic relations from St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance. Dr. Seidler credits much of her success to her education and the opportunity to study in St. Petersburg, and is proud to have completed a Doctor of Philosophy in just three years after completing undergraduate coursework, with highest distinction.
After finishing her education in the late 1980s, Dr. Seidler worked for four years with the Association of German Co-Operatives, where she rose from serving as an assistant to the head of the department of finance and economy to excelling as the head of the Financial Sector of Co-Operative Industry in its headquarter in Berlin. Following this accomplishment, she became a controller for the Industrie-Beteiligungs-Verwaltungsgesellschaft in 1990, and a principal consultant for Wiese & Partner Management Consulting, Hamburg, during the subsequent year, working with the German Ministry of Economics, Technology and Transport of Land Schleswig-Holstein. Dr. Seidler continued to refine her business management skills as the managing director of BIG Service Joint Stock Company and general manager of BOLA Boddenland Handelsgesellschaft and WKL Vermögensverwaltungsgesellschaft before becoming the chief financial officer of MVV Consulting in 2005.
In 2006, Dr. Seidler began working in Kabul, Afghanistan, as a project director and change management expert for corporatization and commercialization of the national power utility DABS, financed by the World Bank, rising to serve as an advisor to the board of directors and senior management in 2010, financed by the Asian Development Bank. She was named as the head of economics and policy for MVV decon GmbH in 2008, and concurrently accepted a role as Darya Management's finance director and head of press office. Dr. Seidler continued her work in Afghanistan as the program head for the German KfW financed Regional Infrastructure Development Programme (RIDF) until 2018, whereupon she transitioned after staying for 13 consecutive years in Kabul, Afghanistan, into her current role as team Leader and advisor to the Programme Management Support Unit with the Ukraine Municipal Infrastructure Program (UMIP).
Throughout her professional journey, Dr. Seidler has continued her career as an expert on all aspects of international financing and redevelopment, including supervision on water and irrigation infrastructure development, power supply and road construction, school construction, through international financial services, NGO and public sector partnerships, working throughout Central Asia and the Middle East for more than 20 years. She is passionate about effecting regional change and promoting stability through development initiatives, particularly in regions that have experienced political or climatic upheaval. Dr. Seidler credits her success on her interdisciplinary focus, leadership skills and emphasis on change management.
Since 2010, Dr. Seidler has served as the chief executive officer of the tax consulting Sona Noa Consulting Company, under whose auspices she hopes to continue her work in Afghanistan. She has been a lecturer at the Institut für Internationale Bildung Berlin, speaks four languages, is a chartered translator and interpreter in Russian and German, and a certified expert of consolidation of trust accounts. Additionally, Dr. Seidler is co-founder of the St. Petersburg Easter Music Festival, and supports numerous local charitable and human services projects in the communities where she lives and works.
