Drawing upon family experience in business, Mr. Mahal first excelled in his father's manufacturing company as a family administrator. Eminently talented in accounting and finance, he paved his professional path in the United States with ease and notably belongs to several organizations in his field. Boasting an excellent academic background, Mr. Mahal earned a Bachelor with honors in English and Political Science and a Bachelor of Commerce in International Trade and Transportation from Punjab University in India, and subsequently, received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration at California State University Los Angeles in 1973.
Mr. Mahal attributes his occupational success to his commitment to working hard, as well as the lessons he learned from other people. He approaches business with an impassioned focus on improvement, and commits himself toward enhancing operations from day one. Always facing his work with punctuality and focus, Mr. Mahal draws upon the idea that one integrates with American society through hard work. Now retired, he hopes to eventually help his son succeed in his own right.
Mr. Mahal after retiring also, played significant role in the public sector starting with serving on three Superior Court of California and for the County of Orange, civil & criminal investigative Grand Juries each with duration of 1-year term. Grand Jury has the full charter and authority to investigate financial affairs and any mal feasance of all county cities and all county level department agencies such as sheriff, district attorney all school districts, water districts and special districts such as sanitation and public works.
Mr. Mahal also, served as a member and vice chair on the audit committee of Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) a county level transportation authority with a budget of +20 billion dollars responsible for all county transportation needs such as additional freeway lanes, airports, bus system, light rail road, bridges and traffic lights synchronization.
Mr. Mahal also served as a board member of Orange County Education Arts Academy a division of Santa Ana Unified School District.
Currently, Mr. Mahal is serving as a board member of Sikh Center of Orange County, a religious nonprofit California corporation.
