Driven by this desire, she earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and criminal justice from St. Joseph's College in 2016. Three years later, she received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Brooklyn Law School in 2019. While in law school, she gained valuable expertise in the field in several roles, including as a law clerk, paralegal and intern with a number of New York-based legal firms. Additionally, she worked as a student prosecutor for the United States Assistant Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, as an intern for Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck of the Southern District of New York, as an editor for the Journal of Law and Policy, and as the Vice President and Coach for the Moot Court Appellate Division.
Today, Ms. Chamoun Taranto has channeled her considerable expertise into her work as an attorney with Blank Rome LLP since 2019, where she specializes in general litigation, complex commercial litigation and a variety of matrimonial matters. Though her career is still on the rise, she is proud of graduating from law school and already taking mentorship roles with a number of law students. To remain abreast of changes in the field, she aligns herself with the American Bar Association, the New York Women's Bar Association and the World Lebanese Cultural Union.
A devoted community advocate, Ms. Chamoun Taranto completed 100 hours of pro bono service in three months while employed by Blank Rome LLP and doubled those hours in 2020. Due to her considerable knowledge, she received the Dennis J. Block Center's International Business Law Fellowship and the Best Oralist for the Victims Award through the International Court Competition. She and her team were also recognized as quarter finalists through the American Bar Association Court Competition.
