DALZELL, SC, January 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Michael Stephen Hoza with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Hoza celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Hoza is a commissioned Foreign Service Officer who capped his career as the U.S. Ambassador to Cameroon for the U.S. Department of State in the capital city of Yaounde. Mr. Hoza previously served as Management Counselor in Moscow, Russia, Management Counselor and Acting Deputy Chief of Mission in Nairobi, Kenya, and as Management Counselor in Madrid, Spain.
Moreover, Mr. Hoza held numerous human resources, management, administration, and post management officer positions throughout his career. In total, his career as a Foreign Service Officer spanned over 30 incredible years, including assignments in more than 11 countries abroad in addition to serving in Washington, D.C., in the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of African Affairs. Mr. Hoza's tenure in the U.S. Foreign Service was notably preceded by five years with The Washington Post Company.
Mentored by his father, a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, Mr. Hoza relished the challenges of opening new embassies and the construction of new embassy compounds. The most rewarding aspects of the career included helping American citizens and businesses overseas, promoting democracy, easing the suffering of refugees, and fighting poachers, pirates and terrorists.
