LITTLE ROCK, AR, January 21, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Roy Melvin Daniels Sr. with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Daniels celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An exemplary educator, Mr. Daniels has taught, coached and served as the principal of the Augusta Schools in Arkansas since 2005. Supported by more than 25 years of experience, he previously excelled as the principal at Cotton Plant Elementary School in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, between 1995 and 2005, coached, taught and served as the principal at the Humunoke School District in Humunoke, Arkansas, from 1989 until 1995, and coached women's basketball at Arkansas Baptist College from 1979 to 1989. Supporting his community, Mr. Daniels presently works with the youth at his local church and is president of the usher board. In previous years, he was aligned with the Development Club as vice president.
Stumbling upon his career in coaching by happenstance, Mr. Daniels initially planned to become a social worker. However, shortly after graduating from Arkansas Baptist College with a Bachelor of Art in social science, he was approached by the athletic director at the time, Bobby Carey, who informed him that there was an opening for a basketball coach. Accepting the position, Mr. Daniels contributed for over a decade in his role, during which time his team won a championship in the first year and continued to enjoy a consistent winning record.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1979, Mr. Daniels eventually returned to college, receiving a Master of Science in education and school administration at the University of Central Arkansas in 1993. He also completed postgraduate coursework in administration at Arkansas State University in 1997. Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Daniels is certified in administration and social studies in both Arkansas and Tennessee.
Affiliated with several prominent industry organizations as a commitment to his area of expertise, Mr. Daniels is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Arkansas Association of Elementary School Principals and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He is also an active member of the University of Central Arkansas Alumni Association and the Woodruff Single Parent Scholarship Program.
