SAN ANTONIO, TX, January 27, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Norman Alfred Carpenter has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Carpenter celebrates 43 years of success as a co-founder of Royal Resorts, a luxury travel and lodging brand with beach club properties in Mexico and the Caribbean. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he enlisted after receiving a draft exemption, and spent six years on active duty plus another 20 years as a member of the Air Force Reserve. The idea for Royal Resorts rose out of a mutual investment project that Mr. Carpenter started with a group of colleagues from the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service in the 1970s.
Pooling their social and financial resources to launch the project, Royal Resorts was established with a single luxury beach property in Cancun. The resort, Club International of Cancun, was quickly followed by the Royal Mayan, the Royal Caribbean, the Royal Islander, the Royal Sands, Royal Haciendas, and Grand Residences. Using the earnings from his initial investment in the group's Mexico resorts, Mr. Carpenter acquired strategic parcels of land in Texas and Colorado, eliminating the possibility of overdevelopment in the region. Since the 1990s, Mr. Carpenter has been the owner and director of Gold Medal Ranch LLC and Byers Peak Ranch LLC among six other LLC's, fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning ranchland.
Prior to his work in property development, Mr. Carpenter served as a quality assurance specialist for the Defense Supply Agency for 19 years, and lent his real estate and logistics skills to the Methodist Church of Eastern Pennsylvania by co-founding a Christian adventure camp. Mr. Carpenter is heavily decorated from his time in the United States Air Force, and showed early promise, earning the distinction of Outstanding Young Man of America. He remains active in his faith community, singing in several church choirs, and is a dedicated volunteer with area human services charities. Mr. Carpenter holds a Master of Arts in management from Central Michigan University, and considers the inspiration of his family, particularly his grandfathers, to be the cornerstone of his career success.
