Mr. Dhungana is a respected entrepreneur, writer and social worker celebrating more than 10 years of helping others, He established a home care agency and helped people to pursue their financial goals. He was born and spent his childhood life in Bhutan. His family became refugees due to the ethnic cleansing policy of the ruler of Bhutan (King) in the early 1990s. They would spend nearly 20 years in refugee life in Nepal before relocating to the United States in 2010, an experience that Mr. Dhungana considers formative to his personal philosophy of community service and mutual aid.
With the support of his parents and siblings, Mr. Dhungana pursued an advanced postsecondary education while living in the refugee camp. He subsequently obtained a bachelor's degree in physical chemistry, with honors, from Darjeeling Government College (India) in 2003 as well as a Master of Science in chemistry at Tribhuvan University (Nepal) in 2007. He also worked as a teacher and high school principal (in Nepal) before he was resettled in the USA. After the resettlement to the United States, Mr. Dhungana began his career as a freelance translator and interpreter for International Service Center and Language Service Associates. He also worked as a cashier at a gas station, and warehouse associate in some manufacturing companies.
Mr. Dhungana later flourished as a personal care assistant for Public Partnership (Home Care Agency) in 2013, advancing to the post of a case manager for Intra-National Home Care LLC in 2015. Building upon his extensive experience in the home healthcare industry, he established Our Home Care LLC in 2018, with which he remains active as the president and chief executive officer. Mr. Dhungana has been involved with Primerica since late 2014 and became the regional vice president of the company in October of 2020, a role in which he advises clients about financial planning and retirement savings with the mission statement: "Help families to earn more income and become properly protected, debt free and financially independent."
As a part of his commitment to the larger community, Mr. Dhungana has excelled as the president of the Shree Vaishnav Parishad Harrisburg (present), He received the President's Volunteer Service Award 2016 in recognition of his volunteer contributions. He has also spoken at Tedx Harrisburg 2016 on the topic "Refugees are not garbage, they are assets." He is additionally noted as the founding president of the Bhutanese community in Harrisburg, and continues his philanthropic efforts with the TN Foundation, his newest venture. He also authored the 2013 book, "Satisfaction and Service: A Grand Source of Success." Furthermore, he was a part of community policing as a member of the Swatara Township Police Advisory Council, the LIRS Speakers Bureau and the Ambassador at American Red Cross. Mr. Dhungana is now living with his old parents (living God), his wife and his three lovely daughters.
