Since coming of age, Mr. Smith has been deeply involved in the family business of funeral planning. Drawing inspiration from his parents and their compassionate efforts in comforting grieving clients, he received a certificate in funeral services and an Associate of Science from St. Petersburg College. He began his career as an apprentice and funeral director assistant at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home. Presently, Mr. Smith serves as an embalmer and funeral director of Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home.
In his current position, Mr. Smith meets with grieving families and determines the best service for each client including cremation, burial and donating bodies to science. He also works with churches and other religious organizations, and handles embalming services and restorative arts. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Smith has been most proud of entering his field at a young age, and of his propensity for helping families throughout the grieving process.
Outside of his professional achievements, Mr. Smith volunteers with Ducks Unlimited, Captains for Clean Water. He has attributed his professional success to his parents, who taught him the intricacies of the trade. Looking toward the future, Mr. Smith plans to expand his business and reputation within the field.
