Though Ms. Charles-Pierre initially aspired to become a journalist, she became fascinated by what the field of finance had to offer. In 2005, she joined Lord Abbett, an investment management company, as an analyst in national accounts. After two years, Ms. Charles-Pierre transferred to Goldman Sachs, where she gained valuable expertise starting out as an analyst/ associate in marketing and moving up to vice president in national accounts between 2007-2016.
Supported by her considerable expertise, Ms. Charles-Pierre became vice president in channel marketing for BlackRock in 2016 and remained there for three years. Presently, she excels as the director of advisor segment marketing for New York Life Investments. She is an agile team leader recognized for building thematic and highly targeted solution-based campaigns; with a passion for driving creativity, innovation, and vision to motivate change.
In a career suffused with highlights, she is especially proud to have served as a lead marketer for a prestigious client while working at BlackRock. In this capacity, Ms. Charles-Pierre's goal was to assist BlackRock with becoming a preferred partner – a goal that she helped reach after just a year and a half with the company.
An expert in her field, Ms. Charles-Pierre earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications studies from Northeastern University in 2004. Throughout the course of her career, she has also received her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and three-year-old son. Outside of her work, she contributes to her community as a mentor with Student Sponsor Partners, a nonprofit organization that gives at-risk students in New York City opportunities to receive a private high school education. Along with her husband, she contributes annually to the Penn State Educational Equity Programs, fostering diversity and inclusion at Penn State.
