Noted for decades of professional experience, Dr. Goddard began his career as a manager for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, with which he advanced to the posts in community relations, traffic, state staff budget coordinator and other assignments. Subsequently, he found success with Texas A&M University-Commerce (TAMUC) as Associate Vice President-Development and Executive Director of the TAMUC Foundation; Goddard also created several programs on campus. He supervised many campus outreach activities in his fifteen-year career in Commerce, Texas.
Goddard contributed his considerable expertise to the Tyler Independent School District Foundation as an executive director. Dr. Goddard currently excels as the president and founder of The Goddard Company, which establishes educational foundations that provide aid to teachers and students across the country.
In pursuit of a formal education, Dr. Goddard earned Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1980 and 1991, respectively. He subsequently graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in business management, marketing, and fundraising via Ashwood University and recognized by Michigan State University. Throughout his career, Dr. Goddard has provided his wealth of knowledge to more than 40 articles published in professional journals; hundreds of conducting training sessions to help others and has been involved in almost $2 billion in scholarships, educational buildings, rural health assistance, and women and children assistance initiatives.
Goddard has received many honors throughout his career including Texas' Key Communicator for Education; Governor of Texas appointee (twice) to state-wide advisory commissions; elected to the Association of Fundraising Professionals' International Charity committee, East Texas Regional Council of Governments Citizen of the Year 2009, multiple awards for producing public service announcements for educational foundations, awards for writing, art, drama, public speaking, and leadership roles as Chamber of Commerce President, Employee of the Year, and Sigma Chi Fraternity International Faculty Advisor of the Year.
Goddard has traveled to all seven continents at least once, write a blog on Blogspot, and continues to advise global clients on the culture of charitable giving and organizational consulting.
