Renowned for her years of expertise as a land-use planning and policy consultant, Ms. Wyant has excelled as the president of Pathfinder Consulting in Chicago since 1999. Offering an array of services in her present position, she boasts decades of knowledge in commercial and non-profit management and has been well-versed in providing legislative support. Ms. Wyant also harbors a distinguished record of success in helping boost the growth and ongoing success of her clients' businesses while also tackling common business problems.
In addition to her other work at her firm, Ms. Wyant has served as the president of the Rafael Manzano Prize for New Traditional Architecture since 2012, the Richard H. Driehaus Architecture Competition since 2016 and the Richard H. Driehaus Building Arts Awards since 2017. The founding executive director of the Form-Based Codes Institute from 2004 to 2012, she previously worked as the director of statewide partnerships for the National Trust for Historic Preservation from 1994 to 1999, where she was instrumental in the oversight of a nationwide program that bolstered statewide non-profit preservation organizations in the United States. Ms. Wyant also found success from 1987-1994 as the executive director of the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois, headquartered in Chicago.
In the 1980s Ms. Wyant flourished with Williams Realty Corp. through which she gained expertise in many aspects of commercial real estate. More recently she penned a review for New Traditional Architecture 2020.
Born in San Francisco, Ms. Wyant made her television debut at the age of 12, singing opera live on a major network affiliate television station in town. After high school, she studied locally, receiving a Bachelor of Art in sociology at Stanford University in Stanford, California, in 1961. She later returned to college, completing a Master of Art in urban administration at Tulsa University in 1980.
A member of Mensa, Ms. Wyant was made an Honorary Member of AIA-Chicago and awarded with a Certificate of Merit by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency. Ms. Wyant was distinguished with the President's Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Ms. Wyant is currently active in the following organizations: The International Women's Forum, The Chicago Network, the Form-Based Codes Institute, Stanford Professionals in Real Estate and the Stanford Alumni Real Estate Council.
