With a desire to help others, Ms. McClure earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and international studies from DePaul University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois, she has represented cases before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern District of Wisconsin, Southern District of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Ms. McClure was drawn toward immigration law because she enjoyed working directly with her clients, ensuring that families remained safe and together in one country.
In her current position as a partner at Kriezelman Burton & Associates LLC, Ms. McClure advises and represents clients in all areas of immigration law. She also aids clients before U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services as well as in removal proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review. Moreover, Ms. McClure specializes in family-based immigration, asylum, removal defense, employment-based immigration and federal court litigation.
In addition to her primary duties, Ms. McClure has spoken at, and moderated for, several conferences over the years. Most recently, she further worked as a panelist and speaker at the 2019 Immigration Law Conference for the Federal Bar Association. She has also been published in the Immigration Law Section of the Federal Bar Association. Civically, Ms. McClure contributes to the advancement of her profession through her work with the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Immigration Clinic and the Pro Bono Bond Project.
For her exemplary efforts throughout her career, Ms. McClure has been consistently recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. She was also honored as the Younger Lawyer of the Year by the Immigration Law Section of the Federal Bar Association. Ms. McClure maintains her professional affiliation with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
