HIGHLAND, NY, February 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donald C. Verity Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After earning a Bachelor of Science in music education from the University of Bridgeport, Mr. Verity initially desired to become a musician in order to pursue a career as an instructor. However, he also pursued broadcasting as a hobby and began receiving opportunities in the field while he was searching for part-time work. He began his career as an on-air host and marketing consultant for WPDH Poughkeepsie. Later he was appointed the vice president and general manager of Dutchess Communications WRNQ/WKIP and later general sales manager of WRWD/WBWZ, a subsection of IHeart Media of Hudson Valley. After a brief tenure in television, Mr. Verity returned to radio in 2007 as Kingston Market Manager of WBPM/WGHQ for independent Pamal Broadcasting.
Mr. Verity is well known for his marketing and media skills. Specializing in radio broadcasting and marketing, he also supervises revenue generation, programming, operational tasks and promotional management. In addition to his daily responsibilities, he is also active as a member of the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce. As the chairman of the board, he has worked with many business leaders to stimulate commerce in the region. In this position, Mr. Verity has been able to expand his view of economic issues, which has allowed him to better address his clients' needs.
Mr. Verity additionally has been active in the Rotary Club of Highland as an officer, instructed youth thru the Junior Achievement program, and volunteers for many charitable causes. Over the years, he has attributed his professional success to his empathy, which has been crucial to his ability to serve community and charitable needs. In the coming years, he plans to continue working within his industry and his community. Mr. Verity would also like to venture into consulting work and dedicate more time to his wife and family.
