BLOOMINGTON, IN, February 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Eugene Ellsworth Rousseau, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Rousseau celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Rousseau has performed across North America and on five continents since his 1965 Carnegie Hall debut. The legendary saxophonist Marcel Mule described Rousseau as "a brilliant saxophonist and distinguished artist" and critics the world over have echoed Mule's praise.

He joined the faculty of the University of Minnesota School of Music in fall 2000 where he taught for 15 years.
In addition, Dr. Rousseau has been in demand internationally as a guest professor. He taught at the Prague Conservatory and gave numerous master classes in the United States and abroad. From 1991—2001, Rousseau taught a masterclass at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg, marking the first time the saxophone had been included at that institution. Rousseau's influence continues through his former students, many of them eminent saxophonists, who can be found teaching and performing worldwide.
Rousseau left his mark in radio as well, being featured on broadcasts in Berlin, Bremen, London, Montreal, Toronto and other international locations. He is featured in two DVDs produced by Yamaha Corporation, Steps to Excellence and Eugene Rousseau: His Life and the Saxophone. Rousseau's service to the saxophone community is of long standing.
