A recognized leader in his particular discipline, Dr. Kim has excelled as an emeritus professor of physics at the University of Maryland since 2007. He joined the aforementioned academic institution as an assistant professor in 1962, where he eventually rose to assume a full professorship. With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Kim authored such publications as "Mathematical Devices for Optical Sciences" in 2019, "New Perspectives on Einstein's E = mc2" in 2018 and "Physics of the Lorentz Group" in 2015.
Additionally, Dr. Kim has contributed a number of articles to professional journals. Prior to establishing himself in the field, he pursued an education at Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physics. Dr. Kim continued his studies at Princeton University, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in physics in 1961.
In order to remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Kim maintains his professional involvement with the American Physical Society. In a career suffused with highlights, he is most proud to have completed such a wealth of research. Looking toward the future, Dr. Kim intends to write books about how Albert Einstein developed his mathematical abilities with his younger colleagues: Sibel Baskal and Marilyn Noz.
