For more than 20 years, Mr. Dickinson has served the people of Pennsylvania as a criminal prosecutor in the state's Office of the Attorney General. As a Senior Deputy Attorney General for the Insurance Fraud Section, Mr. Dickinson is responsible for prosecuting frequently complex cases of fraud and other financial crimes. He oversees the investigation and prosecution of several dozen active cases at any given time. Prior to entering the legal field, Mr. Dickinson earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre and film from Denison University and spent the 1980s as a news reporter and anchor at various radio and television stations in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
From 1987 until 1991, Mr. Dickinson served as a producer / reporter for The People's Business, a weekly Pennsylvania public television news and public affairs program. He then joined the Pennsylvania House of Representatives video communications department, where he would spend the next six years. During this period, Mr. Dickinson enrolled at Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, PA, and graduated with the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1995. A member of the law school's Moot Court Honor Society, he successfully participated in regional and national American Bar Association moot court competitions. Following law school, Mr. Dickinson remained at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives until 1997, when he joined the Office of Attorney General.
Mr. Dickinson has long relished the challenges of the legal profession and considers achieving successful trial verdicts in difficult cases to be among the highlights of his career. Priding himself on his highly developed sense of ethics and insight, he enjoys supporting his peers in the legal profession and in the field of criminal justice. He was an honored recipient of the Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority's Fraud Fighter Award in 2012. Mr. Dickinson eventually plans to retire and looks forward to devoting more time to his family and to the Market Square Presbyterian Church, where he currently serves as a trustee. He also plans to pursue his passions for travel, music, and the visual arts.
