SAN FRANCISCO, CA, February 24, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jerry J. Rogers Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Rogers is a researcher, educator and member of the United States military celebrating more than three decades of excellence in service. Grandson of early homesteaders to Montana and the son of a U.S. Anny radio operator, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1980 where he followed in his father's footsteps, serving as a radioman until 1985. Mr. Rogers entered the Coast Guard Reserves in 1988 where he was assigned to work in the Law Enforcement branch as a geo-political analyst. Here he served until his retirement as a Senior Chief Intelligence Specialist.
Mr. Rogers holds an Associate of Arts in liberal studies from Honolulu Community College, and continued his education in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and Asian history from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After graduating with his BA, he pursued an Associates of Science in Legal Studies from Kapiolani Community College in 1995. In 1999, he was bestowed with a Master of Public Health in Health Services Administration and Planning at the University of Hawaii School of Public Health. Mr. Rogers completed his education in 2008, whereupon he received a Master of Arts in Homeland Security in Intelligence Methods from American Military University.
Mr. Rogers spent several years as a grant researcher and manager for the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium. He returned to active duty as an analyst for the U.S. Coast Guard from 2003 until 2006, then became a high school and middle school level teacher for Highlands Christian School in San Bruno from 2008 to 2009. From 2010 until 2016, Mr. Rogers served as a program analyst for substance abuse with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for the Program Evaluation Resource Center, from where he transitioned to being a clinical research project coordinator for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. From the early 2010s he has continued to write and publish.
Mr. Rogers has been an invited presenter at numerous industry conferences and symposia throughout his career, and he is the author of articles discussing improvements in mental health care such as "Correlations of Specialty Substance Use Disorder Treatment Among Female Patients in the Veterans Health Administration." He is also pursuing his passion to write politically relevant articles on Russian Foreign Policy. As a former grant researcher and manager he continues his work with an emphasis on clinical research and policy analysis for actions affecting Veteran populations.
Mr. Rogers attributes much of his success to his faith" as well as his service within the Coast Guard. Likewise, he is gratified to serve actively within the congregation at Cornerstone Church in San Francisco in the sound ministry. Mr. Rogers looks forward to completing his current project, a book looking at Russian historical political motivations in the coming years, and anticipates many more years of contributions to legislative, policy and research analysis on behalf of Veterans and our nation.
