Jennifer A. Ingold has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ms. Ingold is an accomplished educator focusing on American and global history



    HOLBROOK, NY, February 25, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer A. Ingold has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Growing up in small town Hornell in upstate New York, Mrs. Ingold graduated from high school in the top 10 of her class before pursuing higher education in public relations and journalism. Upon discovering that she did not enjoy the large university environment, she continued her academic efforts at Elmira College, where she was encouraged to study business management and economics. Soon thereafter, Mrs. Ingold excelled in her studies to the point that her fellow classmates requested her services as an economics tutor, inspiring her to shift her focus towards secondary education.

Ms. Ingold eventually graduated from Elmira College with a Bachelor of Arts in social studies at the top of her class. She also later earned a Master of Arts in reading and English from Stony Brook University, a part of the State University of New York system. Mrs. Ingold currently works as a middle school social studies teacher with the Bay Shore School District, in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York.

In addition to her primary professional endeavors, Mrs. Ingold also holds an administrative position on the New York State Council for the Social Studies' Technical Committee. She has been active in educational advisorships for the ESL/ENL Social Studies Integration Committee, the Humanities Investigative Planning Committee and the Bay Shore District Transition Team. Previously appointed to the board of directors for the Middle States Council for the Social Studies, Mrs. Ingold later served as a mentor and supervising teacher for student teachers at Stony Brook University, Saint Joseph's College, Dowling College and Molloy Colleges.

As a respected voice in her field, Mrs. Ingold has authored and contributed to numerous journals and publications in her field. Most notably, she has provided her wealth of knowledge as a contributing author for "Navigating the Toggled Term," a contributor for "The Middle Web", Association for Middle Level Educators Magazine, Social Education and an author for "The Missing Piece: Empowering Middle School Students with Thinking Parameters," which was published in the Iowa Journal for the Social Studies. Mrs. Ingold has also presented her work and research at numerous local, state, regional and national conferences.

As a dedicated member of her community, Mrs. Ingold notably established The Jerilyn Ingold Young Professional Memorial Scholarship, which is bestowed to graduating seniors in the West Islip, New York School District who plan to pursue careers in business or business education. For her exceptional efforts throughout her career, she has been recognized as Teacher of the Year by several prestigious organizations including most notably The National Council for the Social Studies, the Middle States Council for the Social Studies, the New York State Council for the Social Studies and the Long Island Council for the Social Studies. Likewise, she was honored as a C3Teachers.org Lead Teacher Expert Blogger. Ultimately, she has attributed her professional success to her unique creative mindset and intrinsic motivation over the years. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Ingold plans to continue teaching, writing and attending conferences in the field of education while benefiting and uplifting both students and fellow educators from across the country and the globe.
