HACKENSACK, NJ, February 25, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bishop Wilson "Jerome" King has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Since 1977, Bishop King has excelled as an ordained minister in the Salvation and Deliverance Church, including more than 10 years in his current role as the pastor of the Manhattan-area church. After serving as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, he married and fathered three children before his wife's tragic passing. Bishop King recalls "looking for some direction in his life" while raising his children and attending college, and discovered his purpose and an anchor in the aforementioned church.
By 1987, Bishop King was appointed as the bishop of Salvation and Deliverance Churches in Southern India, preparing him to take over for the Manhattan ministry in 2009 after the death of his predecessor, William Brown. He continued his education through the 1990s, earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at the College of New Rochelle in 1999 and a Master of Arts in counseling from Montclair State University in 2001. Bishop King additionally obtained his licensed as a clinical alcohol and drug counselor and his certification as a student assistance coordinator in the state of New Jersey.
In recognition of his leadership contributions to the international body of the Salvation and Deliverance Church, Bishop King has been presented with an honorary doctorate from Saint Paul's Bible Institute. He attributes his success to his faith in Christ and the support of his family, including 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
