KENOSHA, WI, March 03, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert W. Griffith has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who in America 2021. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Long driven by his Christian faith, Dr. Griffith drew his inspiration from the biblical imperative to help and serve others. In pursuing a formal education, he received a Bachelor of Science in business management from National Louis University, a Master of Arts in leadership studies from Vanguard University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern University. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Griffith established 1HOPE TOGETHER, a nonprofit organization where he oversees more than 1,000 volunteers in community transformation and a thriving foster family support network. He serves as the chief executive officer of 1HOPE TOGETHER and is also an executive teaching pastor at Journey Church, a large multisite church in Southeastern Wisconsin. Additionally, his inspirational messages on YouTube offer hope to many.
Dr. Griffith has expanded the scope of 1HOPE TOGETHER to become an impactful collective focusing neighborhood, professional, and faith-based energy to offer hope and transform lives. In this way, his team seeks to increase the capacity and stability of foster care systems with a volunteer-model that partners with community leadership. As a result of his dissertation on foster care ministry, Dr. Griffith has also been credited with designing a foster care program at his church, where 30% of all foster families in the county currently attend. In recognition of his leadership, his efforts have been featured in national radio, publications, and events. He has also been recognized by a U.S. Congressional Representative on the floor of the U.S. Congress, and received a foster care support grant from the state of Wisconsin to further this work.
In addition to his involvement with the faith-based community, Dr. Griffith serves on the Mayor's Clergy Advisory team and is a co-lead for the Mayor's diversity and equity team in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He volunteered as a board member for six years on a state board called Serve Wisconsin to promote national service. He also developed a large emergency food distribution and disaster preparedness program in a four-county zone. Dr. Griffith maintains a professional affiliation with Compact Family Services, the Christian Alliance for Orphans, and the One Campaign for global poverty relief. In accounting for his success, Dr. Griffith credits his faith in Christ, his wife, and the many colleagues from whom he has learned. Looking toward the future, he plans to continue equipping people and using his voice to advocate for the vulnerable in our world.
