Having developed a longstanding fascination with electronics and avionics during his military service in the U.S. Naval Reserve, Mr. Ellison elected to pursue a career in several positions with the General Services Administration. Outside of his work in this capacity, he also worked as a tax accountant for the Trust Department of the National Bank of Washington and as head of supplies and equipment at the Pentagon for C & P Telephone Company. Mr. Ellison initially prepared for his career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in international economics at American University.
Over the course of his professional journey, Mr. Ellison was most proud to be stationed with a naval squadron during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Outside of his professional duties, he has judged ballroom competitions for the United States Ballroom Dancing Association. Likewise, Mr. Ellison has been involved with the Pike Branch Swimming and Tennis Club, the Beethoven Society of America, the Norwegian Society and Sons of Norway.
Well regarded for his civic accomplishments, Mr. Ellison was notably recognized for his many years of service by the Sons of Norway. In accounting for his standout success, he attributes the positive influence of his wife, who has always been an encouraging and supportive figure in his life. In the coming years, Mr. Ellison hopes to continue his work with Sons of Norway. He would also like to remain active in his chosen field.
