HINSDALE, MT, March 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kristin K. McColly has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Ms. McColly holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Montana State University, a master's degree in family nursing, and post-graduate degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She is also board certified as a family nurse practitioner and a psych-mental health nurse practitioner. Likewise, Ms. McColly has earned a dual license to practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
With more than 540 clinical hours in psychiatry and counseling to her credit, Ms. McColly presently serves as a nurse practitioner at North Hinsdale Health Clinic and at Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association. Throughout the course of her career, she worked in the detention system, where she observed that many psychiatric patients face unmet needs and inadequate medication. Following this acknowledgement, Ms. McColly found herself drawn to her present field, through which she is able to assist those suffering from mental health issues and advocate for better conditions and resources in the industry.
Over the span of her professional journey, Ms. McColly has cultivated her specialization in mental health, medication management and counseling services for mental conditions and addictions. Well regarded for her efforts, she was recently bestowed with the PMHNP Student Leadership Award at a virtual graduation ceremony. She maintains her professional affiliation with the American Nurses Association, the Montana Nurses Association and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. In the coming years, Ms. McColly plans to expand the mental health program that she developed with the local sheriff's office. She would also like to explore becoming a mentor and clinical specialist for students.
