Following this accomplishment, he received a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy at Harvard University in 1981 and 1983, respectively. Involved in various nonprofit and philanthropic activities, Dr. Bahbah sat on the executive board of the Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee, served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and, among other volunteer positions, served on the board of directors of Givat Haviva USA.
