Dr. Hankinson has earned distinction as the co-founder and president of EduLink. Through this role, he leverages his talents as an educational consultant and collaborates with school clients to develop educational software. Dr. Hankinson initially entered the field of education as an elementary school teacher at the Gateway School District near Pittsburgh, PA.
Having earned a scholarship to attend college through his talents in basketball, Dr. Hankinson developed a passion for working with children, and soon decided to pursue a career in education. In attaining a formal education, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Hankinson then matriculated at Duquesne University, from which he earned a Master of Science in Education and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership.
In a career suffused with highlights, Dr. Hankinson is extremely grateful to have been inducted into his High School Alma Maters' Hall of Honor. He is also very proud to have led the EduLink team that developed PA-ETEP, a comprehensive teacher evaluation tool, which is utilized by more than 80% of teachers in his home state of Pennsylvania. For this inimitable effort, EduLink was named among the 20 Most Promising Software Solution Providers in America. More recently, Technology Insight recognized EduLink among the 10 Hottest Solution Providers in the country.
Outside of his primary duties, Dr. Hankinson has helped support underprivileged youth in such countries as Uganda and El Salvador, and is most actively involved with the Malayaka House Orphanage. Looking toward the future, Dr. Hankinson plans to continue developing software tools to help school systems including EduLink's newest tool called COMPLY, which helps schools track and manage compliance related items such as clearances, continuing education, policies, requests, etc. Dr. Hankinson and his EduLink team plan to take COMPLY to a national market in 2022. Dr. Hankinson lives near Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and three children.
