SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, March 18, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Changhan Park has been included in Marquis Who's Who. In 2006, Dr. Park joined Samsung Thales Co., Ltd. where he led several projects for developing automatic target tracking and recognition core algorithms and developed the seeker system for guided missiles and rockets on its own for the first time. He is currently a chief engineer and a research and development leader for intelligent swarm drone-bots based on AI in Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd. which changed its name in 2016. He received the Bachelor of Science in computer science from the National Institute for Lifelong Education in Seoul, Korea, in 1997, and continued his education at Kwangwoon University in Seoul, Korea, from which he received the Master of Science in software engineering at the Graduate School of Computer Science, in 1999. Likewise, he was bestowed with the Doctor of Philosophy in computer engineering from the Graduate School after presenting the thesis "A study on the face recognition system using face region detection algorithm and 3D embedded data based on the human vision," in 2005. Dr. Park worked a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Institute of Culture Contents and Technology at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea the following year.
Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Park has extensively published his research on imaging, data fusion and recognition in international publications. He has numerous solo publications and co-author credits in international journals, most recently contributions to the article "Roll-pitch-yaw integrated u-synthesis for high angle-of-attack-missiles," from the 23rd volume of Aerospace Science and Technology.
Dr. Park presented his early work on facial recognition and imaging at the Third International Symposium on Neural Networks, with research appearing in the ISNN 2006 and the ICIAR 2005, among others. This early work led to innovations in infrared imaging and predictive modeling that were published in the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology, the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems and the Journal of Electronic Imaging, among others. Dr. Park looks forward to continuing his research in intelligent swarm drone-bots, electro-optical search and tracking systems based on an artificial intelligence and a machine learning, as well as his developmental leadership at Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd. through which he hopes to continue his history of innovation for many years to come.
