Mr. Gessler notably earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1980. He recently became a chartered fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2020. Registered as a professional engineer since 1983, he also obtained a national horticulture certificate from Open Polytechnic of New Zealand in Auckland in 2013.
