Mr. Fujihira is an environmental scientist who formed the Institute of Environmentology in Tokyo in 1997 after a tenured career in the fields of environment and sustainability. Formerly employed in local government in the City of Tama, he specialized in infrastructure, engaged in public building design and construction. Mr. Fujihira's wealth of expertise has also included working independently for many years examining the causal relationship between humans and various environmental issues.
Throughout the course of his career, some of Mr. Fujihira's most promising research projects have included a basic control system for sustainable development and the production of an educational methodology for sustainable development. He also became fluent in numerous effective environmental educational practices. As a result, Mr. Fujihira successfully began integrating his studies to develop a method for promoting sustainable housing design.
During his career as an entrepreneur, Mr. Fujihira notably worked at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature in Kyoto, Japan, between 2002 and 2009 as a cooperative researcher. The Institute is an inter-organizational research center that was formed by the government of Japan. Likewise, Mr. Fujihira has published several books, including "Different Strategies of Housing Design," "Sustainable Home Design by Applying Control Science," "Complex Systems, Sustainability and Innovation," "Sustainable Development," and "An Introduction to Environmentology."
A native of Tokyo, Mr. Fujihira studied locally, receiving a Bachelor of Science in architecture at Waseda University in 1978. Well regarded for his exemplary performance, he was selected for a Sustainable Housing Award from the Japan Wooden Houses and Industry Association in 2015. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been cited in the 12th edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering and the 31st through 33rd editions of Who's Who in the World.
