EDMOND, OK, April 01, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shea Nicole Parry has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Parry is a board-certified speech-language pathologist, and the president and owner of Elite Therapy Associates, a practice serving the needs of children and families with learning, speech and sensory processing disabilities, ambulatory and motor deficits, and neurocognitive differences. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Southern Nazarene University and a master's degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma, where her initial interest in therapeutic services developed. As a student, Ms. Parry worked at a local children's convalescent center providing individual support for a young boy with autism.
Prior to her experiences supporting the patients at the convalescent center, Ms. Parry had limited experience working with students with disabilities. While working at the children's convalescent center, she had the opportunity to work on an individual basis with young boy recently diagnosed with autism. It was through this experience that she became passionate about speech-language pathology, and she returned to school at the University of Oklahoma, where she completed a second master's degree in speech-language pathology in 200 I. Ms. Parry continues to have contact with this young boy who grew up to be an engineer, and attributes her career path to this experience. She has since credited the ongoing success of her practice to her dedication in making a difference in the lives of children.
Since 2017, Ms. Parry has served as the president and owner of Elite Therapy Associates, through which she builds upon her work with several pediatric colleagues from a now-defunct practice. Though she admits that running her own practice was never her goal, the reality of working alongside her colleagues to empower patients has been satisfying beyond all expectations. Ms. Parry has been nominated as one of Oklahoma City's Top 20 Speech-Language Pathologists, and is a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Though she is proud to help her patients secure positive outcomes, she considers her greatest calling to be her role as a mother. Additionally, she attributes her recent business success to her remarkable husband.
