With a plethora of experience at her disposal, Ms. Blyth has excelled as the chief operating officer of DealCaptains Travel Management and Technology Company since 2020. Active as the director of business development of Carlson Wagonlit Travel from 2018 to 2020, she previously served with the aforementioned company as the senior program manager from 2017 to 2018. Prior to these appointments, Ms. Blyth flourished as an area business travel and group sales manager of Hyatt Regency Convention Center Denver and Grand Hyatt Denver from 2011 to 2017, a sales manager for DoubleTree by Hilton from 2008 to 2012, the owner of EDesigns PR and Marketing from 2006 to 2008 and a senior sales, and Sales & Marketing Director at Wellbridge from 2004 to 2006.
Ms. Blyth received a ballet scholarship and completed coursework in communications at the University of Utah. She continues her education at Regis University working on completing a marketing/business degree and master's program. During the pandemic, Blyth completed courses in finance with honors from Yale University, and is always looking for the next education opportunity to elevate her to knowledge. Additionally, she has garnered the highest levels of certifications as a 4th-degree black belt, full certified ski instructor, Tae Bo (featured in Billy Blanks first Tae Bo videos - trained by Billy Blanks, and earned her certifications directly from him) and kickboxing. Adding to her achievements Blyth has received awards for her freelance articles she has written for business travel publications. A well-rounded professional, Ms. Blyth specializes in leadership, mentoring, entrepreneur, start-up companies, business, sales, marketing, and public relations.
Furthermore, Ms. Blyth served on the Rocky Mountain Travel Association board and was elected for two terms as the President of the GBTA Rocky Mountain Chapter. Her success as a leader, mentor, and innovator of new programs for her Chapter, and other national GBTA chapters, gained recognition by her national chapter president peers, and she was elected by the national GBTA chapter presidents Council to be their Vice President of the GBTA Chapter President's Council. Blyth additionally contributed as a voice for the travel industry and lobbied in Washington, D.C. as a member of the organization's government relations committee from 2015 to 2018. She was a board member of Community Health Charities of Colorado, and currently she holds the position of chairperson of the Vertical Committee of the Travel and Meetings Society (TAMS). Ms. Blyth has moderated and organized global panel series, and is leading her Vertical Committee in producing weekly news videos. Looking toward the future, Ms. Blyth intends to continue to make an impact and difference in helping to innovate within the travel industry while continuing to mentor members of her team and travel industry professionals.
