KINGSFORD, AUSTRALIA, April 06, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jennifer Anne Onyx with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Onyx celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having earned the distinguished title of a professor emeritus at the business school of the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, Dr. Onyx's tenure on campus spanned 35 years. During her academic career, she taught countless classes, successfully supervised over a dozen doctoral students, and had the opportunity to serve as the co-director of the Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre on campus. As a sought-after expert in her field, Dr. Onyx has presented frequently before various professional organizations and groups, and notably served on the board of the International Research Organization.
In addition to her many years in the classroom, Dr. Onyx spent an extensive amount of time conducting research in the field. Securing multiple grants in support of her work between 2001 and 2014, she received more than $1.5 million in funds from such organizations as the Ford Foundation, ARC Discovery and ARC Linkage. Dr. Onyx's studies have led to dozens of refereed journal articles and chapters to books, as well as numerous published conference papers. She also contributed many consultancy reports.
Attributing much of her success to maintaining networks and open dialogue with colleagues, Dr. Onyx strove to choose a profession where she could have the flexibility to raise a family and make an impact on future generations. After earning a bachelor's degree, she completed a Master of Arts at the Victoria University of Wellington in 1966. Following this accomplishment, Dr. Onyx pursued a Doctor of Philosophy at Macquarie University in Sydney, where she graduated in 1978.
