ORLANDO, FL, April 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Glover Cleveland Sr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Cleveland is and was multi-tasking long before it became popular. He is a husband with a wife and father to three children. He is an educator and was a Professor for more than twelve years early in his life and career, graduating with a B.S. from Albany State University 68/69, Albany, Georgia and the M.Ed. from The University of Georgia 74/75, Athens, Georgia. In addition and during the same time, a successful Entrepreneur and Businessman for more than fifty years inclusive, owning and operating several businesses employing numerous employees in the past, not many or any at the present time.
Currently, Mr. Cleveland is sole proprietor of Cleveland Insurance Service, Orlando, FL., a full service Agency, since 1996 with two Independent Agents and a number of associates.
He considers business ownership to be a key part of his personality and credits his mother who agreed (not to hold the paper company liable) and permitted him, when his Dad was away in Korea on Military assignment, to become a paperboy at the young age of eleven, instilling within him a love for business and the discipline to succeed at it.
Mr. Cleveland most recently acquired/achieved the most elite and prestigious status in the world, an "Inventor." In January 2019, the United States of America Patent and Trademark Office awarded a Patent to Mr. Cleveland for his invention, a new and useful technology, the "UV Ray-Blocking Headwear", an accomplishment only a few "unique" humans ever achieve.
Mr. Cleveland is a supporter of several Historic Black Colleges and Universities, most notably Albany State University, Fort Valley State University and Spellman University, among the many. Mr. Cleveland is also the founder and first Chairman of the "Fountain City Classic" 1990/91, a very popular and a rivalry football game played between two in-state Georgia Historic Black Universities. Although The University of Georgia, Athens is not a HBCU, Mr. Cleveland is a proud graduate/supporter and a faithful member of the Alumni of that University as well.
Mr. Cleveland, for his support and allegiance, has been given numerous awards and recognitions. Just to mention a few, he is a "life member" of the Albany State University National Alumni Association, Inc., Push Excellence Service Award, Cub Scout/ Boy Scout Special Recognition Award, Mentoring America's Young Leaders of Tomorrow Award and a number of others.
He supports a plethora of charities and organizations. Among the many are: Local Area Food Bank, the Boys and Girls Club, the Boy Scouts of America, The NAACP, The Southern Poverty Law Center, a Charter Member of the African American Museum, Doctors Without Borders and ACLU. He is a Third Degree Mason and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Mr. Cleveland has held a number of Organizational, Chairman and leadership roles in his community, the Church, Chairman of Operation Push, Chairman and Founder of "Fountain City Classic", Boy Scout Troop Leader "Woods Badge" Training, Inventor, Entrepreneur and Businessman.
Mr. Cleveland looks forward to remaining active and engaged in his community and in the many things he is passionate about and is open to learning new things, to doing new things and acquiring new knowledge. He has six fantastic grandchildren, and having been raised as a "military brat", Robert has lived in England and Germany and has traveled extensively within the Continental United States and has lived in at least five of them. It is his hope and desire to pass on his wealth of knowledge and experience to them and others who could or would benefit. Mr. Cleveland believes that all of us are shaped by our experiences and environment and the content of our character defines each of us. No one can unring a bell. He cautions each that "you can do better, you can do worse, but you can't undo the past". The highest, most honorable and charitable achievement humanity can achieve is to treat another as one treats themselves.
