FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ, May 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Grant Smith has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven by a childhood accident and subsequent back pains, Dr. Smith felt compelled to become a chiropractor as he came of age. After receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic Care from Life Chiropractic College West, he became certified in his profession through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. For more than 25 years, Dr. Smith has worked at a family practice. In addition, he and his wife have owned a martial arts studio for more than a decade.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Smith specializes in sports care. Specializing in sports care, Dr. Smith notably treats all of his patients as if they were athletes themselves in order to reduce the amount of time spent healing. Likewise, he has become a successful athlete in his own right, served as a member of Team USA, through which he competed internationally, and has competed in more than 100 triathlons. Previously, Dr. Smith distinguished himself as a professional racquetball player and participated in the pro tour during the 1990s and 2000s.
As a respected voice in sports, Dr. Smith served as a columnist and health advisor for Racquetball Magazine, and a fitness columnist for Taekwondo Times Magazine, where he was featured on the cover of the November 2012 issue. In the field of martial arts, he is a Grand Master and he serves as the president of the Yun Moo Kwan Association of Korean Martial Arts Schools. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Smith authored two books, "Reckless Abandon" and "Fates Rescue."
As a dedicated member of his community, Dr. Smith established the Legion Elite Academy and Warrior Camp, where he trains children from the ages of 10 to 18. The camp, which is based in the forests of northern Arizona, teaches all aspects of leadership, survival techniques and urban combat. Most recently, he was knighted by the Order of St. John and has actively volunteered at orphanages, homeless shelters and domestic violence shelters. Throughout the course of his career, he has attributed his professional success to his drive. Looking toward the future, Dr. Smith hopes to take on a position as a faculty professor. He would also like to have his own priory in the Order of St. John.
