Ms. Paolini-Lotarski found such success as an associate attorney and law clerk with O'Reilly Rancilo P.C. in previous years. She initially worked as a clerk in banking and transactional law for Bodman PLC before practicing in the child and youth services division in child abuse and neglect prosecution the Michigan Attorney General's Office and in criminal defense at the Criminal Law Clinic for the 35th District Court. A former associate board member of the University of Detroit Moot Court, she was likewise involved in the National Trial Advocacy Competition. Ms. Paolini-Lotarski further flourished as a member, past president and former board member of the Saint Thomas More Society, a nonprofit, nationally recognized public interest club at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
Becoming an attorney was very personal for Ms. Paolini-Lotarski. After her father survived a stroke and her family fighting through tough times, Ms. Paolini-Lotarski realized that she needed to find a career that would make a difference in people's lives and would help others struggling through tough times in their own lives. Although she had originally planned to become a journalist, she decided that entering the field law would enable her more opportunity to make a difference. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Paolini-Lotarski is a member of the Women's Law Association of Michigan's Macomb County District and the Macomb County Bar Association.
Ms. Paolini-Lotarski initially earned a Bachelor of Art in journalism and screen studies, summa cum laude, at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2013. She also obtained a law degree, cum laude, at the University of Detroit's Mercy School of Law in 2016. Ms. Paolini-Lotarski has been admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
Ms. Paolini-Lotarski was recognized by her alma mater, the University of Michigan-Dearborn, with a Best Fictional Short Story and Best Non Fiction Short Story. The University of Detroit's Mercy School of Law likewise honored her with a Distinction in a Moot Court Competition. Additionally, Ms. Paolini-Lotarski received a Book Award for Trial Practice and Real Property.
