Drawing upon nearly 20 years of expertise in the research and development, Dr. Mori has excelled as the chief executive officer of the Fuji Pigment Company since 2016. Having initially begun with the aforementioned company as a researcher in 2003, he has dedicated much of his career to the study of several industrial chemicals, metals and composites, including next generation lithium ion, lithium sulfur and aluminum based battery, solar cell, fuel cell technology, CO2 capture and conversion (artificial photosynthesis) technology, various types of ink, quantum dot composite materials, metal organic framework, nanoparticles and bioethanol, as well as the potential market possibilities surrounding such products. Advancing to the position of chief executive officer in 2016, Dr. Mori also serves in the same capacity on behalf of the Green Science Alliance Company, which focuses its efforts on the development of new technologies for use in an environmentally sustainable capacity.
Outside of his primary career endeavors, Dr. Mori worked as a sales engineer and translator for the Nissha Company, where he notably proved instrumental in translating Japanese and English technical documents. Additionally, he was active at RMG Chemical from 2007 until 2008. Based in Osaka, RMG Chemical was a trading company that imported and exported various chemical components, including ink, solar cells, solvents and various resins with customers throughout the Middle East, China and India, Europe and USA.
Esteemed for his scholarly output, Dr. Mori has contributed more than 40 articles to a variety of professional publications, such as the Journal of the Electrochemical Society, the Journal of Power Sources, the Journal of Electronic Materials and the Journal of the European Ceramic Society, among others. Likewise, he has delivered more than 30 lectures on his particular areas of expertise throughout Japan. To remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Mori maintains his affiliation with such organizations as the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry and the American Chemical Society.
Dr. Mori previously pursued a formal education at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture in 1997. Following this accomplishment, he obtained a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in engineering from Kyoto University in 1999 and 2005, respectively. To commemorate his career achievements, Dr. Mori was nominated for the Global Metals Award by S&P Global Platts in 2018, and accepted the Best H!NT Award from the New Value Creation Exhibit in 2015. Moreover, Green Science Alliance was selected in 2020 as a United Nations-supported startup venture in 2020.
