SAINT PAUL, MN, May 18, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fred H. Pritzker has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Pritzker celebrates 45 years of excellence in the field of legal service. After a successful decade working and later becoming a partner at a large law firm, he left in 1996 to start his own firm at which he was the founding partner, president, and chief litigator. The firm name is now Pritzker Hageman reflecting the contribution of the other named and equal partner, Eric Hageman. The firm's primary work involves representation of survivors of foodborne illness in cases involving pathogenic microorganisms and natural toxins, as well as those who have suffered catastrophic burns from fires and explosions.
Mr. Pritzker's recoveries on behalf of burn and foodborne illness survivors include some of the largest awards ever received by clients in those areas of practice. He is proud that his firm has collected hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of their clients, including over 75 verdicts and settlements in excess of $1,000,000. With his experience, resources and the bonds he and his staff form with their clients, he leads his firm to take on and win complex cases. In every one of his cases, Mr. Pritzker's goal remains the same: protect injured people, guide them through the complexities of the legal system, and ensure that they are fully compensated for all the harms and losses they have experienced.
Mr. Pritzker obtained a Bachelor of Science with honors in political science and government from Northwestern University in 1972. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1976, and has actively maintained his membership with the American Association for Justice, the Minnesota Association for Justice and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Moreover, he currently participates as a board member for the Minnesota ACLU Foundation. Mr. Pritzker is also a former president of the Minnesota Association for Justice, a former governor of the American Association of Justice and a former officer and director of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation as well as other organizations advocating on behalf of people with disabilities.
Many years ago, Mr. Pritzker represented a client who suffered severe injuries caused by a foodborne microorganism, Listeria monocytogenes. It was a compelling case, and as a result, he immersed himself in the science and medicine associated with food borne illness. Pritzker Hageman has since become one of nation's leading foodborne illness law firms and is involved in virtually every major food borne illness outbreak throughout the United States. The firm's trial verdicts on behalf of Salmonella and E. coli 0157:H7 survivors are believed to be the largest ever awarded by an American jury.
The same interest and success in high-stakes cases involving science, medicine, and technology led Pritzker Hageman to its involvement in burn injury and wrongful death claims resulting from fires and explosions. On behalf of its clients, the firm has obtained several eight-figure recoveries including one for $45 million dollars for a man with catastrophic burns suffered in a gas explosion.
Mr. Pritzker is honored to have been selected for inclusion in the current and past editions of the Best Lawyers in America. Additionally, he has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Super Lawyers Magazine every year since the inception of the award. He was also named as the Attorney of the Year by the Minnesota Lawyer newspaper in 2011, 2014 and 2015. Mr. Pritzker is proud that his firm was recognized as the Best Law Firm for Personal Injury Litigation by US News & World Report.
