An international economist with the United States Department of Agriculture, Dr. Miller previously served as an instructor of economics at the American University in Cairo from 1982 until 1984.
Beyond his primary endeavors, Dr. Miller maintained involvement as a manuscript reviewer of Dryden Press from 1994 until 1996 and a book reviewer of Choice Magazine between 1984 and 2012. A Fulbright scholar of Ternopil National Economic University in Ukraine and a Fulbright senior specialist of the Discipline Review Committee, he also served as a visiting professor at the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua and as a research associate of the International Center for Energy and Economic Development and the Institute of Behavioral Science. Moreover, Dr. Miller earned distinction as the president of the Adam Ferguson Institute from 1996 to 1997.
In order to prepare for his impressive career, Dr. Miller pursued an education at Heidelberg University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. Earning a Master of Arts from the University of Colorado in 1979, he later obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Colorado in 1985. Additionally, Dr. Miller was presented with an honorary doctorate from Ternopil Academy National Economic University in Ukraine in 2000.
Having distinguished himself as the treasurer of the northeast Ohio chapter of the Fulbright Association since 2006, Dr. Miller also flourished as the president of the Ohio Association of Economists and Political Scientists between 2001 and 2002. In light of his exceptional undertakings, he accepted a fellowship from the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies from 2003 to 2004 and the Earhart Foundation from 1977 to 1980. Likewise, Dr. Miller was featured in numerous honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in the World.
