After earning a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism from the University of Oklahoma, Ms. Stenseth worked as a pharmaceutical representative for 10 years. As she was preparing to leave the pharmaceutical industry, she was discontented with the way people were becoming dependent on medicine. Having always been interested in nutrition, she did not begin to take it seriously until her late husband Joe had a seizure and a brain tumor was found; he passed away in 2012 after 6 years battling with chemotherapy and surgeries. Ms. Stenseth then decided to begin cooking healthy food for her family but could not find adequate options so she became inspired to establish a specialty catering company, Organic Gourmet.
Ms. Stenseth currently excels as the CEO and COO (Chief Optimism Officer) of three businesses: Stone Edibles, Stone Sisters Pizza Bar and Stone Sisters Organics. She is also certified in Traditional Nutrition. With her businesses, she strives to offer different, healthy foods that people can trust, knowing that their ingredients are organic and fresh. Ms. Stenseth hopes to offer more people access to a healthy lifestyle without hassle.
Stone Sisters Pizza Bar was featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and Ms. Stenseth appeared on "The Tamron Hall Show." Stone Sisters Pizza Bar was presented with the Best Pizza Place Award in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma, received the Best Pizza in Oklahoma award from Yelp, and was recognized for the Best Vegan Pizza in the Oklahoma Gazette. This summer, Stone Sisters Organics' healthy pizzas are going national and selling in grocery stores. Ms. Stenseth has attributed her professional success to understanding her passion. Looking toward the future, she would like to take her cannabis business, Stone Edibles, to a national level (with more products in the pipeline).
