WARRENSBURG, NY, May 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lisa Collado has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having harbored a desire to become an artist since coming of age, Ms. Collado has excelled as a visual artist for more than two and a half decades. Through her work, she aims to tackle complex issues and serve as an inspiration to others. Beginning with a general idea of theme and composition, her ideas bloom into incredible works of art through the use of canvas, acrylic paints, photographs and more. In addition to exhibiting her work through Arizona State University, Chestertown Library, the Cathedral Center for the Arts, the Visual Arts Gallery at Adirondack Community College and Galerie Pro Arts Kasper in Switzerland, Ms. Collado has participated in several group exhibitions with the National Association of Women Artists, including "Spring Into Summer," "The Nature of Things" and "Artist as Alchemist" through the Metro Artists Salon for Pfizer Company.
An expert in her field, Ms. Collado holds a Bachelor of Arts in comparative literature through Harvard University and a Master of Arts in contemporary women artists through New York University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she aligns herself with the National Collage Society and the ASCA. In conjunction with her work, she volunteers in the ministry store. For her professional achievements, Ms. Collado has been honored on several occasions, earning the Jackson Pollack Award and the Gottlieb Foundation Award.
Though her career has been suffused with highlights, Ms. Collado is most proud of her considerable portfolio, as well as her accomplishments in steering at least five artists back onto their creative paths. In accounting for her standout success, she credits her natural passion for the craft, as well as her propensity for working hard to reach her goals. Though she recently had to take a hiatus from exhibitions due to health issues, Ms. Collado intends to continue painting and return to participating in exhibitions for as long as she is able.
