Mr. Goodman began his career in the field of information technology (IT) in 1986, at which time he served in the U.S. Army as a signal support systems specialist. Upon completing his service in 2008, where he attained the rank as a Master Sergeant, he found success working with Technical Innovation in Atlanta and in the IT department for the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 2010. Going forward, he exceled as an IT specialist with the Network Enterprise Center Fort Bragg, NC from 2010 to 2015, as well as a Field Service Engineer at Diversified, LLC from 2015 to 2019 and Eagle Harbor Solutions LLC from 2019 to 2020. Since 2019, he has served as a Field Service Engineer with Koniag Government Services.
In his current role, Mr. Goodman's responsibilities include handling the audio-visual rooms for telepresence with agencies throughout the government and civilian sectors. Moreover, he maintains wall projectors, screens and video equipment within each room. Notably, his areas of expertise are in networking, software installation, troubleshooting, security, network administration and firewalls. He is a certified Microsoft certified professional and a Tandberg Gatekeeper operator.
Mr. Goodman obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Technology from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 2012. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Security and Management from Campbell University in 2014, graduating Magna Cum Laude. His current focuses are audiovisual maintenance and installation.
For his military service, Mr. Goodman is proud to have been a recipient of various accolades, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the U.S. Airborne Badge and the Air Assault Badge. Additionally, he was presented with the Overseas Ribbon, the Drill Sergeant Badge, the Combat Action Badge, the Korean Defense Service Medal and the Bronze Star Medal for Military Action.
Mr. Goodman provides pro bono consulting and advising to companies who may be in need of his assistance. He is an active volunteer with Feed the Children and regularly donates to assist his local church and homeless veterans.
