Throughout his career, Mr. Kothari has found much success developing and managing dental software. Since 2003, he has flourished as the president and chief executive officer of Practice-Web Inc. Prior to this appointment, he excelled as the vice president of the practice management group of Dentalxchange Inc. from 2000 to 2002 and the president and chief executive officer of Dentisoft Inc. from 1994 to 2000. From 1984 to 1994, Mr. Kothari has been active as a Computer Systems Manager with the Procter and Gamble Company in Sacramento.
Born and raised in India, Mr. Kothari obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 1976. Upon immigrating to the United States, he earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1978. Between 1982 and 1983, Mr. Kothari completed postgraduate coursework at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.
During this time, Mr. Kothari began his career as a project engineer for Pedco Environmental Inc. from 1978 to 1980. He subsequently served as a design engineer for Henningson, Durham & Richardson from 1980 to 1981 and an engineering supervisor and design engineer for Hoffman-La Roche from 1981 to 1984. Mr. Kothari is also registered as a professional engineer in the state of Florida.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kothari has always enjoyed helping dentists improve their businesses. Since 1994, he has been proud to witness his dental software utilized by dental offices nationwide. He is gratified to play a part in improving the oral health of over 2.5 million patients. In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Kothari has implemented electronic prescriptions for dental offices, which he believes will save lives by ensuring the correct prescriptions are always written.
Mr. Kothari has maintained his affiliation with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Toastmasters International. Additionally, he is a regular contributor to articles published in professional journals. He is proud to have been recognized for his service by the National Electronic Attachment Inc. and the Indian Dental Association of California. Looking toward the future, Mr. Kothari intends to install cloud applications in order to better manage dental offices and introduce artificial intelligence into these processes to analyze office information and optimize parameters.
