In pursuit of his aspirations, Mr. Laase earned a Bachelor of Architecture at Washington State University in 1994. Subsequently, he has become registered as an architect in more than ten states. In order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the field, he has been affiliated with the Belden Club Seattle, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Institute of Architects and NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. Outside of his primary responsibilities, Mr. Laase is devoted to his community as the chairman of the advisory board for the Washington State University School of Architecture and as a Councilmember for the City of Snoqualmie, with which he previously found success as the Vice-chair of the Planning Commission.
Due to his considerable professional expertise, Mr. Laase is consistently invited for lectures with Woodworks regarding housing affordability and non-traditional construction alternatives and has presented previously at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. In honor of his outstanding accomplishments, he became recognized as a finalist for the Ivory Prize through Ivory Innovations in 2019.
