Through it all, Ms. Greenberg also volunteered prolifically with various not-for-profit endeavors.
As a professional volunteer, Ms. Greenberg has held leadership positions at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, the Anne Arundel County Library Foundation, and the Annapolis Opera Company. She also served as president twice of Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and as president of Scholarship for Scholars, an organization that provides 30 college scholarships annually for Anne Arundel County high school seniors. She serves on the Board of Visitors and Governors of St. John's College, serves on the national board of Hadassah, served on the President's Council of Brandeis University, and was chairman of the Holocaust Commission subcommittee honoring Righteous Gentiles held at the State Department in 1982.
Dedicated to furthering her education, Ms. Greenberg earned a bachelor's degree in speech from the University of Maryland in addition to completing studies at the University of Wisconsin and Johns Hopkins University. For her outstanding body of work, she has been honored on numerous occasions. She earned an Honorary Award from the Japanese Defense Academy in 1963, an award from the Maryland Hall of Fame in 1990, an International B'nai B'rith Award in 1991, a TWIN Award for Women in Industry from the YMCA in 2019, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Historic Annapolis Foundation in 2021.
