Driven by a lifelong love of the arts, Ms. Seltzer naturally pursued a career in the field. For more than three decades, she has not only taught painting and printmaking, she has worked in the Art Department at Stanford University, taught at art institutions and established her own design studio as an independent artist. Throughout the course of her professional journey, Ms. Seltzer has participated in a plethora of group exhibitions at such institutions as the San Jose Museum of Art, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, De Saisset Museum of Art, Triton Art Museum, Frankfurt Art Expo in Germany and the Santa Clara and Silicon Valley Sculpture Exhibitions.
Additionally, Ms. Seltzer has featured her work at solo exhibitions through Showcase Gallery at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Arts, d.p. Fong Gallery, Claudia Chapline Gallery, Bolinas Museum, Bryant Street Gallery, Palo Alto, Ca., Alex Gallery, Washington, D.C., and the Andi Li Gallery in Aspen, Colorado. Due to her vast experience, her work has been featured in the San Jose Mercury News, the Bridgeport Press, the Ridgefield Press and the New Canaan Times. She is included in collections of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City and Chicago, Ill., Stanford Investment Group, City of Palo Alto, Bolinas Museum, Mandarin Oriental, Boston, Massachusetts, JW Marriott Hotel, Indianapolis, Indiana, Hyatt Regency, San Francisco. Her work can be found in many public and private collections in the United States and Europe. The K. Markel Fine Arts Gallery in Chelsea, New York has handled her work and Gallery B. Haasner in Wiesbaden, Germany and SFMOMA Artists Gallery have represented her work for over twenty years.
An expert in her field, Ms. Seltzer holds both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in educational psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Fine Art from San Jose State University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she aligns herself with the California Pacific Rim Sculptors and Cantor and Anderson Museums of Art, Committee for the Arts at Stanford University. Outside of her primary career endeavors, she also contributes through Together Women Rise, the San Francisco Symphony and the Palo Alto Women's Group. For her outstanding achievements, Ms. Seltzer won accolades from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art being nominated twice for their prestigious SICA award receiving the second place. Looking toward the future, she intends to continue her work as an artist and also mentoring artists.
