PHOENIX, AZ, June 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeanine M. Greene has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Greene celebrates a storied career as a registered nurse. Notably, she has worked as the surgical floor head nurse at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL and at Desert Foothills Junior High School in Phoenix, where she remained active for nearly two decades. Additionally, Ms. Greene has established herself as a flight nurse, a rodeo nurse, a bible school nurse, an ER nurse, an ICU nurse, a floor nurse and an office nurse with various hospitals.
Ms. Greene was inspired to enter her profession at the age of 15 following a car accident, which left her debilitated and unconscious for nearly three weeks. When she regained consciousness, she was introduced to a nurse who remained by her side through the duration of her stay. Though Ms. Greene had no recollection of the sequence of events following the accident, the nurse informed her that she had nearly succumbed three times. Drawing inspiration from the efforts to save her life, Ms. Greene subsequently attended nursing school, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Greene was responsible for saving countless lives by making split-second decisions. While volunteering as a rodeo nurse, she is proud to have assisted a man after he was gored by a bull, whose wounds she wrapped and maintained until he safely arrived at a hospital. In a separate encounter, she resuscitated a young man whose trachea had clogged prior to a tracheotomy. As the only nurse available at the time, Ms. Greene intuitively applied her expertise to remove the blockage and save the young man's life.
Revered by those she has saved throughout the course of her career, Ms. Greene is a founding member and the president of the Arizona Recovery Room Nurses Association. In addition, she donates medical books to the Graham Hospital School of Nursing. In accounting for her standout success, she credits her hardworking nature, the values instilled within her by her parents, and her adherence to her Christian faith. Since her retirement in 2000, Ms. Greene enjoys spending time with her 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
